solar thermal - hot water systems

Believe it or not, solar water heating is an efficient renewable solution for generating hot water even in the UK and Ireland, and can provide up to 60% of the domestic hot water used throughout the year. Imagine not needing to remember to switch your immersion heater on or OFF.

A solar water heating system works by absorbing the sun’s energy falling on a collector, or solar panel, which can be either fitted onto or into your south facing roof or gable wall. The heat is absorbed by the pipework running through the panel and is transferred through a coil in the hot water cylinder where it indirectly heats the water we use in our homes, for washing, showering and bathing.

This process is controlled automatically through a controller, leaving you to do nothing, only enjoy the benefits of free hot water, all year round!

Thermomax

Renewable Energies supply and install the Thermomax Mazdon range of evacuated solar panels. Manufactured locally in Northern Ireland, the Mazdon system is known in the industry as a dry pipe system which in simple terms means that tube replacement does not require a full system drain down or the risk of system leakage from a damaged panel. The condenser at the top of the tube fits neatly into the pocket at the manifold, making it virtually maintenance free.
