wind energy

Wind is air in motion and is produced by the uneven heating of the earth’s surface by the sun. throughout history, people have harnessed the wind in many ways with windmills being built to grind grain, pump water and generate electricity.

Wind turbines operate in fluctuating, relatively slow moving air, using aerofoils to regulate the power output from the rotor blades, and are built in such a way as to reduce noise as much as possible, with an electrical motor helping to keep the rotor position upwind.

Renewablenergies will very shortly be announcing the launch of a new form of wind turbine which will be suitable for the vast majority of domestic applications.

Wind Turbines

Renewable Energies are pleased to introduce Vergnet, world leading manufacturers of wind turbines to the market place in Ireland. With wind turbine solutions from 5Kw to 5MW, and with over 40,000 MW installed capacity world wide, and an annual world wide turnover of between 7-10 bn Euros, their impressive record speaks for itself.

Wind turbine uses can include battery charging, remote applications, water pumping and grid connection in the following range of system solutions:

Small turbines 0-5Kw
Medium 10-300Kw
Large 600-2500Kw
Very large 3-5Mw

Renewable Energies are looking forward to the launch of the Windsave domestic wind turbine.
